Hi, I’m Shrey Arora, and I created Little Innovators to help younger students experience STEM in a more hands-on, engaging, and welcoming way. Growing up, interactive STEM experiences helped shape my interest in innovation and problem-solving, but I also noticed that STEM in school can sometimes feel more focused on notes and worksheets than creativity and exploration.
I’m involved in Engineering Club, tennis, and SGA at Collierville High School, and last summer before starting high school, I was honored to be selected as a Top 10 Finalist in the 3M Young Scientist Challenge.
Through the program’s Alumni Grant initiative, I was selected to receive funding to help support and grow Little Innovators as a program.
Little Innovators hosts hands-on STEM workshops for elementary school students designed to make science, technology, engineering, and mathematics more engaging, interactive, and accessible. Through collaborative activities and project-based learning, students are introduced to STEM concepts in a way that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
Each workshop is centered around a specific STEM theme and combines guided instruction with hands-on application. Students work in small groups alongside student mentors to complete engineering challenges, experiments, and creative problem-solving activities that allow them to actively explore and apply new concepts.
The program is designed to create an encouraging learning environment where students can build confidence, develop teamwork and communication skills, and discover new interests through meaningful experiences with STEM.
Interested in becoming part of Little Innovators? Students can apply to become mentors and help guide hands-on STEM activities, while families can sign up for upcoming workshops designed for elementary school students.
Join us in creating engaging STEM experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
